The Mini Movement

This program offers an introduction to beat and rhythm using percussion instruments and fun activities for 0-5 year olds and their parents. It incorporates elements of play, relaxation and mindfulness whilst enhancing the social/emotional skills that group interactions provide. At The Mini Movement we promote connection, belonging and learning in a nurturing and supportive environment.

2–3 YEAR OLDS

Supporting our little ones with spatial awareness, sharing, taking turns and packing away. Learning about sequencing, pattern recognition and an introduction to breath work and body autonomy.

TODDLERS

Massage techniques for busy toddlers. Music movement and developmental activities to enhance motor skills, increase wellbeing and promote self-love and awareness.

CRAWLERS

Wednesday
12.00pm
Massage techniques for inquisitive little ones. Songs and activities to encourage a love for music, body awareness and positive self-image.

Infant Massage

Wednesday
1.00pm
Focus on parent and baby bonding through infant massage. Introduction to music, movement and mindfulness.

I can't say enough wonderful things about The Mini Movement Cairns! It is hands down our little man's favourite activity, he gets to sing and dance, learn how to play a new instrument every lesson and he absolutely loves his teacher! There is a focus on rhythm and percussion, which he loves, and all of the kids receive personalized attention and support. The classes are very relaxed and inclusive, nothing is ever a problem and you never feel rushed. My Mini Movement and infant massage session with my daughter on a Wednesday is a highlight of my week. It is a special time set aside to enjoy music, massage, mindfulness and connection together. The classes are engaging, positive and relaxing. Rosie loves socialising with the other babies, mums and Karli the facilitator. I cannot recommend this class highly enough.

Thank you to Karli at The Mini Movement for providing a wonderful experience for my 11- month-old daughter and I. With songs to transition between activities, instruments and colourful interactive equipment, it feels like a live Wiggles workshop. "I can highly recommend The Mini Movement Cairns! Their nice small classes are structured in a way that you don't have to feel like you've got to try and put yourself out there to be involved. You can simply enjoy some connection with your baby, and he'll still get the benefit of socializing with other babies and learning new things. 😊 Thank you! 🥰 We all love coming to the classes! I started when my Bub was in infant massage classes. I learnt a lot about how to massage correctly and it helps me so much (still today) especially with teething and sore bellies. We then moved up to the crawlers class which was more interactive for my crazy little man. He was 7 months old our last class this term (before we went on holidays) and he loves interacting with the songs, instruments and playing with other kids. I found it also very good for me as I was able to make mum friends and share our experiences.
